Break the chains of oppression

“Black men and women who refuse to live under oppression are dangerous to white society because they become symbols of hope to their brothers and sisters, inspiring them to follow their example.”

- Huey P. Newton

Return the Hyte Center to the Community

The Booker T. Washington (Hyte) Center was founded by and for the New Afrikan/black community. The city has appropriated it from us and used it for its own purposes. Our freedom and independence depends on the control of our own resources. We cannot allow our spaces to be taken from us!

We have started a petition to demand the mayor grant COMMUNITY leaders/organizations FREE access to Our COMMUNITY CENTER.

"Revolution is based on land. Land is the basis of all independence. Land is the basis of freedom, justice, and equality."

In 2020 we purchased land intended for The New Afrikan People's Center. The first task of our organization is to raise the funds needed to erect the structure of the Center. We are working with community leaders and organizers to begin implementing several programs for the center including: the Social & Cultural Development Office; child care; the New Afrikan Food Co-Op Program; National Alliance of New Afrikan Students Association; and the Assistance for Incarcerated People and Re-Entry Program. Through this work, the center will host a community library for Political Education, as well as a multimedia platform based on the coordination of our national network of progressive podcasts, blog talks, radio shows, and other virtual programs that allow us to propagate information and educate the masses.

Freedom for Political Prisoners!

The first and foremost goal for the NALC Freedom fund is to free our members locked behind bars, facing abuse, corruption, and oppression each and every day. Legal proceedings are needlessly expensive and we need a lot of money to help free our founders Kwame Shakur and Shaka Shakur, who have both been wrongfully targeted, harrassed, and convicted (read about Kwame’s illegal arrest and Shaka’s wrongful conviction).

Please consider a recurring donation, as this is work that will always need funding! All donations will be used to further the cause of freeing our founders are providing legal expenses to members and political prisoners locked in the slave kkkamps.

Check out interviews with Shaka Shakur and Kwame Shakur on Prison Riot Radio!
